TipsThe Tips that Fit
Main Tip: Just Shift Your Daily Language Habits to English
In fact, we do read, write, listen, speak a language every day. Why don't we slot English to our reading, writing, listening, and speaking into our daily routines. That is in fact how people learn a new language in where English is spoken as a second language. Remember, the more you are exposed to English the better your mastery of it will be.
Enriching Vocabulary
Learn 10 new English words or phrases every day, Mondays to Fridays (repeat on Saturdays, relax on Sundays). Study 15 minutes every day. Read the lyrics of an English song every week . Read any texts of your choice. AND KEEP NOTES (write!) what you have achieved.
Speaking Clearly
Practice reading in front of a mirror is a good way to practice speaking. After you get comfortable with this, add more volume and emotion into what you are saying. Remember, if you can't be heard, no matter how good your pronunciation is, I still can't understand you, so "speak up!"
Writing: Write from your heart
Your various moods serve as good jumpstarts. Keep your own journal entries to vent what or how your feel about something. And, write every day, at least one paragraph. Soon enough,
give yourself time and let your imagination loose!
Listening: Practice kakes perfect
There is no other way to improve your listening skills but getting your ears used to how English is spoken. Listen to anything English. In the beginning, you might think that you hear noises only. Along the way you will be able to figure out what is being spoken or discussed. Make it your daily routines - at least 30 minutes a day. You will see the impact in LESS THAN TWO WEEKS.
Reading: Read those of your choice
We do read every day, magazines, newspapers, advertisements, and a lot more . But, how much do we read English texts? How much do we read news written in English? Would it be possible to shift your reading routines to skimming texts written in English every two days or so, for instance? Remember, the more time you put into your reading activities the merrier you will be.
